Gaza - "Al-Quds" dot com - The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine organized, on Thursday, a stand in solidarity with Syria after the earthquake that struck the country, and in rejection of the American "Caesar" law.

The participants in the vigil in the Square of the Unknown Soldier in Gaza City raised the Syrian flag, along with the flag of the Popular Front .

Maher Mezher, a member of the Front's Central Committee, said in a speech that the Palestinian people of all sects stand by Syria and Turkey in light of the earthquake disaster, and share with them the wound, pain and tragedy.

He added, "We stand with the older sister, Syria, in rejection of the so-called criminal, racist American Caesar Act, which contributed more to the tightening of the siege imposed on Syria, noting that it caused catastrophic repercussions in the affected areas.

He accused the international community of working to starve Syria while still supporting Ukraine with weapons, missiles and others.

He called for standing by Syria in light of what the country is going through, and for providing relief to the Palestinian camps.
