On Wednesday evening, occupation forces renewed their military operations in areas of the northern Gaza Strip, as a group of military vehicles and bulldozers penetrated deep into the Beit Lahia project. The field movements focused on the "Skafi" area, which witnessed an intense deployment of the invading forces amidst an atmosphere of extreme tension in the area, which already suffers from massive destruction left by previous operations.
Field sources reported that the military incursion coincided with heavy and indiscriminate gunfire targeting residential blocks and citizens' homes, forcing families, especially women and children, to take shelter inside closed rooms amidst a state of extreme fear. The sources indicated that the firing targeted everything moving in the vicinity of the incursion area, completely hindering the movement of civilians.
In a related context, the military bulldozers accompanying the invading force began extensive sabotage operations targeting what remained of the infrastructure in the Skafi area. The bulldozing operations included areas of land, in a move described by observers as an attempt to impose a new field reality and isolate the neighborhoods of the Beit Lahia project from their surroundings, as part of the ongoing policy of tightening restrictions on the residents of the northern Strip.
The invading forces began firing indiscriminately and intensely at citizens' homes, causing panic among the residents.
