The Israeli occupation army said on Monday evening that, in cooperation with the General Security Service (Shin Bet), it targeted more than 100 small trucks that it claimed were used by Hamas in carrying out the October 7, 2023 attack.
"The Israeli army and the Shin Bet have attacked more than 100 small trucks across the Gaza Strip so far (Monday), which were used by Hamas militants in terrorist activities," he claimed in a statement posted on his official website.
It awdded, "The destroyed pickup trucks were used by Hamas militants in the bloody massacre on October 7, and from which the militants invaded Israeli territory," he claimed.
It claimed that these vehicles were used to carry out "terrorist operations and transport weapons."
On October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked military bases and settlements near Gaza, killing and capturing Israelis. This was in response to "the daily crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and their holy sites, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque," according to the movement.
Israeli officials consider what happened on October 7 to be the greatest Israeli intelligence and military failure, causing significant damage to Israel's image and its military worldwide.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 163,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
