Israeli occupation forces stormed the towns of Issawiya, Shuafat, and Beit Hanina in Jerusalem on Monday evening, raiding the home of a Palestinian prisoner and the homes of former prisoners.
The Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement that occupation forces raided the homes of released detainees Khaled Halabi, Murad al-Rajabi, and Moab Abu Khdeir in the towns of Shuafat and Beit Hanina, as well as the home of detainee Anwar Obeid in Issawiya.
It added, "During these raids, the occupation forces conducted extensive searches inside homes and imposed fines amounting to thousands of shekels on released detainees."
It noted that "this escalation comes within the framework of a systematic policy pursued by the occupation authorities against released detainees in Jerusalem, which includes ongoing restrictions, repeated raids on their homes, and the imposition of fines, in addition to their repeated summons for interrogation and detention for varying periods under various pretexts."
It continued, "These measures are accompanied by a systematic incitement campaign targeting released detainees, with the aim of disrupting their daily lives and keeping them under security and economic pressure."
