Two Dead and others wounded in Gaza, and Israel renounces the agreement

Two citizens were killed and others were injured on Sunday morning when an Israeli drone bombed a group of citizens in Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip.

Israel continues to violate and evade the agreement, while Hamas demanded the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza agreement.

Israeli drones targeted a group of Palestinians in the Al-Masryeen neighborhood in Beit Hanoun, resulting in the martyrdom of the young man Hudhayfah Ibrahim Al-Masry and the injury of others.

According to statistics published by the head of the government media office, Salama Maarouf, the Israeli occupation army has killed 100 Palestinians and injured 820 others in the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire agreement went into effect on January 19.

Hamas insisted on starting the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which would end the war in the Gaza Strip, after the end of its first phase on Saturday. However, Israel expressed its approval of an American proposal to extend the current truce until mid-April, in light of the failure to reach an agreement in the negotiations.

Hamas called for the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement with Israel, which went into effect on January 19, considering that an American proposal for a truce until mid-April, which was approved by the Israeli Prime Minister, is “a clear confirmation that the occupation is evading the agreements it signed.”

Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardawi said in a statement: “The only way to achieve stability in the region and the return of the prisoners is to complete the implementation of the agreement.”

Starting with the implementation of the second phase, which includes negotiations on a permanent ceasefire, comprehensive withdrawal, reconstruction, and then the release of prisoners within the framework of an agreed-upon deal... This is what we insist on and we will not back down from it.”

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in a statement that "Israel is adopting the plan of US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff for a temporary ceasefire during the month of Ramadan," which ends at the end of March, and during the Jewish Passover holiday, which will be celebrated in mid-April.

Adding that Israel is ready to begin "immediately" negotiations on "the details of the Witkoff plan" with Hamas.
