Qatar confirms its rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and warns of its repercussions
Qatar renewed, on Sunday, its rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, stressing that these calls double their suffering and renew confrontations in the Palestinian territories.
This came during the reception of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, for the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, according to a statement by the Qatari Foreign Ministry, published on its account on the X platform.
The statement said that Bin Abdul Rahman received the Jordanian minister, who is visiting Doha, without specifying the date of arrival or the duration of the visit.
The statement indicated that the meeting discussed strengthening cooperation relations between the two countries, and discussed developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories, Syria and Lebanon, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest.
The Qatari minister stressed his country's categorical rejection of attempts to displace Palestinians from Gaza.
He warned that "such calls may lead to renewed confrontations in the occupied Palestinian territories and double the suffering of the Palestinians."
On February 4, Trump revealed during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House that his country intends to seize Gaza after displacing the Palestinians from it to other countries, including Egypt and Jordan.
Trump's plan for Gaza was widely rejected by Palestinians, Arabs and the international community, while it was met with great praise at the political level in Israel, including various trends.
