Medical sources: Gaza Strip hospitals suffer from severe oxygen shortage
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that the Strip’s hospitals are suffering from a severe shortage of oxygen after the occupation burned and destroyed the central stations for generating it, especially in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Al-Rantisi, Al-Durra, and Indonesian hospitals, Al-Nasr Complex, and the Sheikh Radwan Clinic station.
The same sources added that the 10 destroyed stations were meeting the oxygen needs of vital departments such as operations, intensive care, emergencies, and nurseries, in addition to the needs of patients at home.
She pointed out that the occupation's prevention of the entry of oxygen stations into the hospitals of the Strip will exacerbate the crisis to levels that threaten the lives of patients.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has launched a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 48,271 citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 111,693 others, in an incomplete toll, as a number of victims are still under the rubble, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them, in addition to the complete destruction of the health and education systems, homes, facilities, and infrastructure, amid a severe shortage of medicines and medical equipment.
