The sixth exchange operation begins: 3 Israeli hostages in exchange for 369 Palestinian prisoners

Hamas handed over three Israelis, one of whom is an American, to the International Committee of the Red Cross today, Saturday, in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army confirmed that the Red Cross received 3 detainees and they are on their way to an army and Shin Bet force inside the Gaza Strip.

Today, the movement and the Israeli occupation entity are carrying out the sixth exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners under the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which was on the verge of collapse this week, according to the French Press Agency.

Pictures published by Reuters showed Hamas members deployed in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip in preparation for the hostage release operation today.

The movement released three Israelis, all of whom hold dual citizenship, who had been held in the Gaza Strip for 16 months, in exchange for the expected release of 369 Palestinian detainees, at a time when US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is arriving in Israel this evening for talks scheduled for Sunday.

The three hostages released on Saturday are Israeli-Russian Sasha Tropanov, 29, Israeli-American Sagi Dekel Chen, 36, and Israeli-Argentine Yair Horn, 46.

On Friday evening, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement published a video showing Tropanov on the Gaza beach holding a fishing rod.
