Water Authority: The damage to the seawater desalination plant in Gaza exceeded 90%
The Water Authority said that the massive damage to the seawater desalination plant in Gaza, which has a production capacity of 10,000 cubic meters per day, exceeded 90%.
The Water Authority explained in a statement issued on Wednesday evening that the occupation army used the station as a military base during its aggression on the Gaza Strip, which led to the destruction of most of its main components.
She pointed out that in cooperation with the Coastal Municipalities Water Authority crews, she monitored the damage resulting from the bombing and destruction, indicating that rehabilitating the station and operating it again will require approximately 5 million dollars, in addition to a period of time estimated at a full year to complete the necessary repairs.
