Rajab: 247 "outlaws" arrested in Jenin camp
The official spokesman for the security forces, Brigadier General Anwar Rajab, said, "247 outlaws were arrested during the "Homeland Protection" campaign in Jenin camp."
He added during a press conference held today, Thursday, in the city of Jenin, "8 people involved in financing outlaws and controlling many external funding lines were arrested."
He explained that based on the detainees' confessions, it was confirmed that the outlaws received external funding from several parties, with the aim of continuing and strengthening the state of chaos in Jenin Governorate, according to him.
He pointed out that the outlaws steal money in the name of the families of martyrs and prisoners, and donations to the Gaza Strip, exploiting the war on Gaza to collect donations under the name of aid to the Strip, explaining that the crime of burning the headquarters of the Popular Committee in Jenin camp confirms the policy of the outlaws in targeting citizens, as stated in the statement.
He continued: "We controlled 17 booby-trapped vehicles and defused them, in addition to deactivating 245 explosive devices that had been planted in public places, and confiscating various weapons and ammunition."
Rajab claimed that outlaws are shooting at civil defense vehicles and ambulances, and are using children and women to monitor, transport ammunition, and throw explosive devices.
He added: "We are refraining from publishing some of the confessions because they affect the social fabric and civil peace," noting that three factories that were used to manufacture explosive devices between citizens' homes were seized.
