Israel prevents the entry of any medical delegations or supplies to Kamal Adwan Hospital

Medical sources reported that the Israeli occupation is currently preventing the entry of any medical delegations or supplies to the Martyr Kamal Adwan Hospital in the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.

The sources indicated that the hospital is suffering from a shortage of water, oxygen and electricity, and the occupation continues to drop bombs on the hospital, as explosions can be heard in its courtyards and at the gates. Since last night, many explosions have occurred and nearby buildings have been destroyed, with shrapnel flying towards the hospital.

The sources confirmed that the hospital is in dire need of repairs related to water and oxygen supplies, but the occupation is still preventing the entry of any necessary resources to support the health system.

It pointed out that the hospital lacks the necessary specializations to treat most of the injuries, which reached 85, including 10 cases that require urgent surgical interventions.

It continued: The hospital's intensive care unit, which was severely damaged by a fire that broke out two days ago due to direct shelling, has undergone some repairs. However, there is still a problem with the electrical network, and additional supplies are needed to restore the department, as it is the only one that provides intensive care services for children and adults in northern Gaza.

Medical sources called on the international community to open a humanitarian corridor and allow the entry of medical supplies, equipment and first aid, and to provide international protection for the health system in the northern Gaza Strip.
