President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas said, "The daily massacres, genocide, starvation, and attempts to displace our people, require the immediate implementation of Security Council Resolution 2735 for a ceasefire, the entry of aid, the State of Palestine assuming its responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, the complete Israeli withdrawal from it, and the implementation of the UN General Assembly resolution on the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice."

President Abbas stressed in his speech before the 11th D8 Summit in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital today, Thursday, that achieving security and stability in the region requires the State of Palestine to obtain full membership in the United Nations and more international recognition of it, which will contribute to maintaining hope for a better future for our people and the peoples of the region.

He stressed the need to provide financial support to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to continue performing its duties and responsibilities.

The President stressed that the State of Palestine, despite the challenges resulting from the occupation and its colonial practices, is playing a major role in the youth and women sectors in promoting the national economy and community development.

On the Arab issue, the President stressed that the occupation's aggression against Lebanon and Syria requires immediate intervention to implement the relevant Security Council resolutions and put an end to these violations, which are likely to maintain tension and instability.

He thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for hosting the summit, hoping to achieve the goals set for it, in a way that serves the achievement of comprehensive and sustainable development.
