When occupation soldiers compete and brag about killing civilians

The investigation published yesterday by the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reveals shocking testimonies given by officers and soldiers who participated in the aggression on the Gaza Strip during the past months.

The newspaper says, quoting the owners of these testimonies, that the systematic and arbitrary killings of Palestinians in the area surrounding the Netzarim axis have been documented in detail, and they indicate very serious violations.

The newspaper expands its investigation to reveal violations that are unprecedented in human history, as the area north of the Netzarim axis was called the “line of corpses,” and orders came from some officers and soldiers to shoot anyone who crosses the line of death, according to the Israeli description, whether a child, a man, a woman, or even someone riding a bicycle or a horse-drawn carriage. In other words, the deliberate killing here targets civilians, and there are no activists or resistance fighters.

The horror of the scene reaches the level of serious confessions from some soldiers and officers, who boast about leaving the bodies of martyrs on the ground for long periods of time until dogs devour and eat them, in an area called the killing zone.

The shocking investigation indicates that the killing of Palestinians in this area is done indiscriminately, and in the end they are classified as terrorists. An Israeli officer admits that the officers have orders to send pictures of the corpses and bodies, and 200 pictures of them were sent, and it turned out that only ten of them were from Hamas. This admission confirms the reality of the deliberate and systematic killing of civilians indiscriminately and randomly, which Israel practices on the ground through the horrific bloody massacres it commits daily.

In one of the ugliest situations, as revealed by the investigation, there is a race between the occupation soldiers to achieve the highest number of Palestinian deaths, and an officer’s admission that there are challenges and bets between the soldiers, to see who can kill the largest number of Palestinians, in order to boast about it.

In another very dangerous step, one of the officers said that army personnel were killing and executing unarmed civilians near Netzarim, describing them as armed to justify their actions before the occupation army leadership.

These serious violations and inhumane actions confirm that there are very serious violations of international law, and they include the most serious violations that can be classified as human rights violations in the Strip. Hence, the international community must assume its responsibilities and move urgently to expose the occupation’s practices. The Palestinian leadership must take urgent and urgent steps to transfer these testimonies, documentations and confessions to the relevant and competent international bodies, as they express cases of very serious violations of international humanitarian law, and move to impose sanctions on the leadership of the military and political levels in Israel, and hold accountable those who issued such criminal orders and those who carried them out or participated in them, and implement the decisions of the International Criminal Court to arrest Netanyahu and his former Minister of Defense Yoav Galant, and all officers and leaders who have a relationship and responsibility in committing war crimes against innocent citizens, and hold them accountable for their fascist actions, and emphasize that those who boast of killing civilians, including children and women, without guilt and without any justification, their real place is with the criminals, murderers and terrorists, who pose a threat to humanity as a whole.
