Netanyahu tightens controls to prevent publication of details of the "Gaza deal"
Israeli sources reported that the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked the military censor to prevent the publication of any details regarding the negotiations aimed at concluding a deal with the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.
The sources said that Netanyahu expressed his dissatisfaction with the media leaks, noting that they "harmed the security of the state."
This coincided with Israel launching new raids that resulted in the deaths of at least 11 martyrs in Gaza City, 9 martyrs in Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun and Jabalia camp, north of the Strip, and two dead in Rafah, south of the Strip.
In a related context, Netanyahu's office announced that he had a phone call with US President-elect Donald Trump, during which they discussed developments in Syria, Iran and Gaza.
Meanwhile, Adam Boehler, who was appointed by Trump as special envoy for American detainees held by Hamas, arrived in Israel.
