Israeli occupation seizes 55 dunums northwest of Jerusalem
Today, Thursday, the Israeli occupation authorities seized 54.79 dunums of citizens’ land in the towns of Qatanna and Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated in a statement that its estimates indicate that the seizure operation under the name of "state lands" aims to create an expansion process for the benefit of the "Har Adar" settlement, which is built on citizens' lands in the area.
The seized lands are located behind the racist separation and expansion wall built on the lands of the two towns. Therefore, the occupying state has prevented citizens from accessing these lands for more than 20 years in preparation for seizing them for the benefit of colonialism.
The Authority indicated that the year 2024 was the most severe and dangerous for Palestinian geography, due to the systematic and intensive dispossession operations launched by the occupying state through a series of military orders, land seizures, and the fattening of settlements in record and unprecedented numbers.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stressed that with this step, the occupying state continues to violate all laws and legislation that criminalize colonial settlement and criminalize the behavior of the occupying state, stressing that it will continue, along with all legal partners, its battle and its diligent follow-up in order to thwart the occupation’s plans to control the Palestinian land.
