A raid on the southern suburb of Beirut after the Israeli army was instructed to evacuate

Beirut's southern suburbs were subjected to an airstrike on Sunday morning, according to footage captured by Agence France-Presse cameras, after the Israeli army issued instructions to evacuate three sites there, following a series of strikes in the area.

Footage from Agence France-Presse showed columns of smoke rising into the sky over the suburb, which was still shrouded in smoke from airstrikes launched on Saturday.

This comes at a time when the Israeli army today asked the residents of three areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut to evacuate them before it will launch strikes on several buildings there.

“You are located near Hezbollah facilities and interests, against which the IDF will operate in the near future. For your own safety, you must evacuate these buildings and those adjacent to them immediately and move away from them at a distance of no less than 500 meters,” Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee wrote on the X platform, attaching a map to his message identifying the three locations in question, according to Agence France-Presse.
