What a night like the waves of the sea, casting its curtains with all kinds of heavy worries on hearts laden with the pains of loss, illness, fear, hunger and homelessness.

What a long night that never ends, and the morning is not better than it. The day of those crucified in the fire is no different from their night, and it does not calm the fear of their children, or satisfy their hunger, or quench their thirst, or heal their wounds.

What a night that stretches like the night of the pre-Islamic poet who tried to rule and died trying to achieve it. The hands of the clock in Gaza have stopped, and the diaries of those crammed into the lines of extermination, waiting for their turn at the blazing stove, have frozen in fear and terror from the gloom of the scene and the evil of the outcome.

The experts of the "deadly diet" are creative in presenting recipes, under the instructions of the generals, so that the bodies melt as punishment for their insistence on staying under the roofs of the houses in the neighborhoods rigged with death, in Jabalia, Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia.

The night of Gaza has become long and drawn out, and the wolves have not been satisfied with the waterfalls of blood, nor have the crows stopped pursuing their prey, even while they are sleeping or playing, or on “hospital beds,” which do not live up to their name after they were taken out of service by drones.

Under the rubble, at these moments, souls gasp, breaths are stifled, and the wounds of fathers and mothers bleed next to sons and grandchildren, breathing their last in silence, like the silence of hidden consciences covering up the raging holocaust of genocide.
