Raids on southern Lebanon and rocket barrages on Haifa and Nazareth

The Israeli army continued its extensive military operations in Lebanon for the 45th consecutive day, and warplanes raided Lebanese areas, one of which, at a Lebanese army checkpoint in the south, led to the death of three people and the injury of Lebanese soldiers and members of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), last Thursday evening.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the Israeli occupation army raids resulted in 52 martyrs and 161 wounded on Wednesday, and the total number of martyrs and wounded since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon until Wednesday reached 3,102 dead and 13,819 wounded.

In return, Hezbollah continued to confront the Israeli forces penetrating areas in southern Lebanon to prevent their advance, and intensified its missile attacks on military sites and Israeli border towns, as well as launching missile barrages and carrying out drone attacks on the Israeli depth, on Friday morning.

On the diplomatic front, the US State Department announced on Thursday that Secretary of State Anthony Blinken intends to continue his work to end the war for the remainder of his term before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
