Lebanese Army: 3 soldiers and 4 UNIFIL soldiers injured in raid on Sidon
The Lebanese army announced on Thursday that the Israeli raid that targeted a car as it passed one of its checkpoints in the city of Sidon, resulting in three dead, led to the injury of three of its soldiers and four members of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.
The army said in a statement, "The Israeli enemy targeted a car while it was passing through the Awali-Sidon checkpoint, which led to the martyrdom of three citizens who were inside it, in addition to the injury of three soldiers from the checkpoint personnel and four members of the Malaysian unit working within the UNIFIL force, while vehicles belonging to the unit were passing through the aforementioned checkpoint."
