Updated: 11dead and 48 wounded in two occupation raids on downtown Beirut
11 people were killed and 48 others were injured, Thursday evening, in two raids by Israeli occupation aircraft on the Ras al-Nabaa and Basta neighborhoods in the center of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The Lebanese News Agency reported that the first raid targeted the third floor of an 8-storey building in Talat al-Nuwairi, while the second raid targeted a 4-storey building in Fatah Allah Street in al-Basta al-Fouqa, which completely collapsed.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health's Public Health Emergency Operations Center announced, in a preliminary toll, that 11 people were killed and 48 others were injured in the two raids on downtown Beirut.
Earlier, the Lebanese News Agency reported that the Israeli occupation targeted the vicinity of the Ras al-Nabaa-Nuwairi area in Beirut, and ambulances immediately rushed to the area, while smoke clouds covered the sky of the area.
For its part, the Turkish Anadolu Agency reported that the occupation aircraft launched two raids on the Ras al-Nabaa and Basta neighborhoods in the heart of Beirut, and columns of smoke were rising from one of the buildings in a densely populated area.
