UNRWA: Gaza residents have been living in indescribable terror for a year
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that the people of Gaza have been living in "indescribable" terror for a year under Israeli attacks.
UNRWA Communications Officer Louise Waterridge said in a post on the X platform on Thursday that the Gaza Strip has been subjected to continuous Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.
Waterridge added that the war on Gaza has been going on for one year, resulting in the displacement of 1.9 million Palestinians and the killing of more than 41,000.
She explained that "the horror that the people of Gaza have been suffering from for 12 months, every day and every hour, is indescribable."
Waterridge pointed out that the hospitals smelled of blood and that doctors were unable to save the lives of many children.
