Southern Lebanon: 6 dead, half of them children, in Israeli bombing of Palestinian Ain al-Hilweh camp
Six Palestinian refugees, half of them children, were killed and others were injured, at dawn on Tuesday, in an Israeli bombing that targeted the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp in the city of Sidon, south of Lebanon.
The occupation warplanes bombed a house in the densely populated Al-Manshiya neighborhood in the Ein Al-Hilweh camp, which led to the death of 6 citizens, including 3 children.
This is the first time that the occupation has targeted Ain al-Hilweh camp since its aggression on Lebanon.
The bombing coincided with the Israeli occupation army's announcement of the start of a ground military operation in southern Lebanon.
Yesterday evening, Monday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the raids on Lebanon within 24 hours had reached 95 dead and 172 wounded.
