Mobile Amputee Support Unit Continues Its Work in the Gaza Strip
The Mobile Amputee Support Unit continues its work in the Gaza Strip, installing prosthetic limbs for its clients as part of the “Restoring Hope” initiative, under the supervision of the Royal Medical Services Directorate and in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization and a number of local partners.
The unit has received many cases since its arrival on the mission ground on September 17 through two mobile clinics sent by the armed forces, to install prosthetic limbs by a specialized medical team from the National Center for Rehabilitation of Amputation Injuries, where 26 lower limbs and 7 upper limbs were installed.
The residents expressed their gratitude for the honorable Jordanian stances and continuous efforts in providing medical and therapeutic services, which has a positive impact on the people of the Strip.
It is noteworthy that the specialists working within the “Restore Hope” initiative use modern technologies that enable amputees to walk on the same day, and it is expected that the initiative will include a large number of amputees in the Gaza Strip.
