Iranian Revolutionary Guards deny the killing of one of its leaders in Beirut
Iran's Tasnim news agency reported that the news circulating about the killing of a Revolutionary Guards commander in an Israeli attack on Beirut is "incorrect."
On Friday, the agency quoted informed sources as saying that “Mohammad Reza Fallahzadeh, deputy commander of the Quds Force, was not killed in the terrorist attack launched by Israel on southern Beirut,” and indicated that the information published in the media is “completely inaccurate.”
The agency continued: "There were no Revolutionary Guards elements in the area targeted by the terrorist operation in Beirut."
Reports indicated that Fallahzadeh was killed in the Israeli attack that targeted a meeting of the leadership of the “Radwan Force” affiliated with the Lebanese “Hezbollah” in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Two security sources in Lebanon said the Israeli army killed a senior Hezbollah leader in a strike on the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut on Friday, marking a sharp escalation in fighting between Israel and the Iran-backed group.
