UNICEF: Number of displaced people in Gaza rises to 1.9 million, aid declines

UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Ted Chaiban called for an immediate ceasefire to protect children in Gaza and facilitate humanitarian access.

In a press statement tonight, Shiban confirmed that more than 14,000 children were killed in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, stressing the importance of finding a political solution that guarantees children's rights.

He explained that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is getting worse, as the number of displaced people has risen to 1.9 million people, while the number of aid trucks has decreased from 100 trucks per day in August to only 15 trucks in September, which has increased the suffering of citizens.
