Hebron: Occupation withdraws from Al-Fawar camp after carrying out arrests and abuse
Today, Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces withdrew from Al-Fawar camp, south of Hebron, after a raid that continued since dawn today, during which widespread arrests and abuse were carried out against citizens.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces withdrew from Al-Fawar camp after a raid that lasted for more than 13 hours, during which they imposed a comprehensive curfew in all parts of the camp, and snipers climbed onto the roofs of some buildings, firing live ammunition intensively from time to time.
The occupation forces raided more than 70 homes and shops inside the camp, abused citizens, searched them and completely and deliberately destroyed their contents. The occupation soldiers also stole money and food supplies from citizens’ homes and shops.
Local sources added that the occupation forces arrested more than 30 young men and detained them in the home of citizen Mahmoud Al-Khatib after forcing the family to leave it, and turned it into a detention and field investigation center, before releasing a number of them and transferring the others towards the military tower at the entrance to the camp.
The detainees were identified as Yousef Al-Najjar, Saleh Nassar, Bajis Al-Janazer, Muhammad Abu Fadda, Shaker Abu Fadda, Muhammad, Salah and Nasr Aziz Al-Maghalsa, Talab Ghattasha, Mahmoud Ghattasha, Salama Al-Dajna, Baraa, Ayham and Muhammad Badawi, Yousef Abu Hashhash, Zuhair Ahmad Al-Tayti, and Muhammad Wajih Al-Qawasmeh.
The occupation forces also stormed a printing press owned by Yazan Al-Dhiba, and seized all of its equipment. They also seized a number of vehicles and smashed the windows of several others.
