Details of a message sent by Al-Sinwar to the Houthi leader

Al Jazeera has obtained details of a letter sent by the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Yahya Sinwar, to the leader of the Ansar Allah (Houthis), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, on Monday.

Al-Sinwar's message to Abdul-Malik al-Houthi came after Ansar Allah announced the launch of the fifth phase of their operations supporting and backing the resistance in Gaza.

The Hamas leader said in the aforementioned message that Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa came to deal a blow to the Israeli project in Palestine and the region.

Al-Sinwar thanked the Ansar Allah group for their "sincere affection and strong will that we saw on the ground and in their messages."

Al-Houthi addressed the message, saying: I congratulate your missiles on reaching the depth of the Israeli occupation, bypassing the layers of defense and interception systems, stressing that these operations restore the glow of the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa and its impact on the heart of "Tel Aviv."

He said that these qualitative operations sent a strong message to the enemy that the plans of containment and neutralization had failed, and that the impact of the support fronts was taking a more effective and influential direction in deciding the battle, noting that "the combination of our efforts with the resistance in Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq will defeat the enemy by expelling him from our homeland, God willing."

He spoke about the situation in the Gaza Strip, saying that the Palestinian people in the Strip are being subjected to a war of genocide, siege and starvation, which requires the nation to support them.

Regarding the situation of the resistance after nearly a year of continuous war, Sinwar confirmed that it is fine, and that "the news and information published by the enemy comes within the framework of psychological warfare."

He also stressed that the resistance is preparing itself for a battle of attrition, and "will break the enemy's political will as it broke its military will."

This is the third public message sent by Sinwar since his election as head of Hamas on August 6.

Two messages to Tebboune and Nasrallah

The first public message sent by Sinwar after his election was a congratulatory message to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the occasion of his re-election, in which he praised Algeria's role in standing by the Palestinian people.

Three days ago, Sinwar sent another message to the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, in which he thanked him for the party’s involvement in confronting the Israeli occupation within the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa.

Hezbollah's media office revealed the message last Friday morning, and it comes about a month after Sinwar assumed the leadership of the movement, succeeding the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Tehran on July 31.

Al-Sinwar said that he "received with great appreciation the message of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, which included congratulations on his election to the position and his condolences on the martyrdom of Haniyeh."

The head of Hamas praised Hezbollah's involvement in the fronts of the resistance axis, supporting and participating in the battle.

He said, "The martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh in the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa confirms that the blood of leaders is not more precious than the blood of the sons of the Palestinian people."

He added, "This pure blood and blessed convoys of martyrs will increase our strength and power in confronting the Israeli occupation," according to his expression.

US Election Window

Al-Sinwar stressed that Hamas "will remain, as it has always been, steadfast on the path of loyalty to the blood of the martyrs, and that the lofty principles that Haniyeh called for will remain steadfast and present, and our movement and our fighters will continue to follow them."

He also wrote in his letter to Nasrallah, “At the forefront of these principles is the unity of our Palestinian people in the choice of jihad and resistance, and the unity of the nation, at the heart of which is the axis of resistance in the face of the Israeli project in defense of our nation and our sanctities until the occupation is defeated and swept from our land, and our independent state with full sovereignty is established with Jerusalem as its capital.”

On August 6, Hamas announced the election of Yahya Sinwar as the movement’s leader, succeeding Ismail Haniyeh. A special source told Al Jazeera at the time that Sinwar was chosen unanimously through the voting mechanisms followed within the movement.
