International newspapers: Stopping the war is necessary for Israel's survival, and Netanyahu is tyrannical and dishonest

International newspapers continued to talk about the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which they said had turned into a humanitarian disaster, noting that the ceasefire represents an interest for Israel, which will not be able to maintain its survival.
Former Israeli military intelligence chief Amos Yadlin wrote an article in Foreign Affairs magazine in which he said that it is in Israel's interest to reach a ceasefire agreement now, because it cannot survive if it is engaged in endless, unbreakable wars.
Yadlin stressed that the choice facing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today is to take a major step to protect Israel's future.
In an article in Haaretz, writer Alon Pinkas said that the prime minister is turning Israel into a rogue state. He added: “Netanyahu is authoritarian, dishonest and rogue in his management and in the indifferent way he treats the families of the detainees, and he is determined to destroy Israel.”
An article in the Jerusalem Post said that Netanyahu has repeatedly shown that he takes every opportunity to deflect any responsibility for the October 7 attack, and that he insists on denying even the slightest bit of responsibility. “We do not trust Netanyahu’s words, and it has been clearly demonstrated that he is not interested in revealing the truth in this matter,” it added.
The Jordanian newspaper Al-Ghad referred to a tweet posted by former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, in which he said that the policies of Netanyahu’s government have pushed many Israelis to consider permanent immigration. Bennett added that the failure to manage the security and economic crisis “has led to a sense of collapse and hopelessness.”
In the Guardian, Moira Donegan wrote an article in which she said that US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris did not say much about the war in the Gaza Strip during her long interview last Thursday.
The writer pointed out that the war has become a moral disaster and that it will alienate young voters, the left, Muslims and Arabs, whose votes Harris needs in some states such as Minnesota and Michigan.
In the New York Times, a report said that the spread of polio in Gaza - which has been almost eradicated worldwide - reflects the massive destruction of the sewage and water systems in the Strip caused by Israeli bombing.
In the same context, The Independent newspaper indicated that the World Health Organization stressed the need to vaccinate about 90% of children in Gaza to stop the spread of polio.
The newspaper added that the disease can cause deformity and paralysis and may be fatal, noting that vaccination rates in Gaza were very high before the outbreak of the war and reached about 99% in 2022.
