Israeli occupation said it liberated a Bedouin prisoner who was detained in Gaza Strip
The occupation army and the Shin Bet announced on Tuesday the release of Kayed Farhan (52 years old) from Rahat in the Negev, "during a complex operation" in the southern Gaza Strip, after he had been detained in Gaza since October 7.
Channel 12 Israel reported that Kayed Farhan was found inside a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip, after the guards who were tasked with guarding him and other kidnapped people left.
In turn, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "We are working to return the kidnapped through negotiations and liberation operations," adding: "We are working to return the kidnapped through negotiations and liberation operations, which requires our military presence in the field."
The Minister of the Occupation Army, Yoav Galant, said that within the framework of a bold operation and the determination of the army and Shin Bet forces, our fighters succeeded in rescuing Farhan and returning him to the arms of his family, adding that this operation is added to a series of operations that bring us closer to achieving all the goals of the war, he said.
The joint statement said that Kayed Farhan was freed by members of the Naval Commando Unit, Brigade 401, the Yahalom Engineering Unit and members of the Shin Bet under the command of Division 162 in what it said was a "complex operation in the southern Gaza Strip."
The occupation army said that no further information could be disclosed, and indicated that Kayed Farhan was in good condition, and was transferred to Soroka Hospital for medical examinations.
Channel 14 Israel reported that the detainee (Kaid Farhan) was found by "chance" and the guards were not with him.
According to Channel 12 Israel, "the Israeli army is still intensifying its military operations around the tunnel in which the judge was found, believing that other Israeli kidnapped persons are in the area."
It is noteworthy that Israeli Minister Miri Regev, a member of the cabinet, revealed the location of the tunnel from which Farhan al-Qadi was rescued in Rafah, despite the fact that the military censorship issued an order to prevent publication.
In turn, Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid said: "We will not be able to return 108 kidnapped people from Gaza through special operations."
The Palestinian factions did not issue any comment on the news of the return of the detained judge from the southern Gaza Strip.
