Israeli settlers kill a Palestinian and injure 6 others near Bethlehem
The Ministry of Health announced tonight that a citizen was killed by settlers' bullets in the village of Wadi Rahhal, south of Bethlehem.
The ministry added in a statement that citizen Khalil Salem Khalawi (40 years old) died of his wounds from settlers' bullets in the village, in addition to three others being moderately injured.
Head of Wadi Rahal Village Council, Hamdi Ziyada, reported that settlers attacked citizens’ homes near the boys’ school, firing live ammunition, which resulted in the injury of four citizens.
Ziyada added that the occupation forces stormed the village to provide protection for the settlers, and fired sound bombs and toxic gas at the citizens, which led to dozens of suffocation cases.
It is noteworthy that the settlers carried out 1,334 attacks in the West Bank during the first half of this year, which resulted in the martyrdom of 7 citizens.
With the death of citizen Khalawi in Bethlehem, the number of martyrs in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023, has risen to 651 martyrs.
