Israeli settlers establish a colonial outpost in Khan al-Ahmar
Today, Tuesday, settlers established a new colonial outpost near the Khan al-Ahmar Bedouin community, east of occupied Jerusalem.
According to local sources, the colonial outpost is only 150 meters away from the Khan al-Ahmar Bedouin community, where 10 settlers brought a tent and electric generators, and since the first day they have been attacking the village of Khan al-Ahmar and the various surrounding communities.
She added that the settlers pose a danger to students as they head to school early next month, as they constantly attack citizens.
She added that the attacks are part of a systematic policy by the occupation against the Bedouin population, in order to force them to leave their tents and evacuate them to facilitate pastoral colonization in the Jerusalem desert in Khan al-Ahmar.
26 of these communities are located in the Jerusalem Governorate, and according to the United Nations Office, they are inhabited by 4,856 Bedouins who face harsh living conditions in terms of basic services such as water and electricity, in addition to the difficulty of accessing educational and health centers.
The 13 Bedouin communities in Jerusalem that fall within the scope of the so-called “E1” colonial project will be on the evacuation schedule, in addition to 12 communities located adjacent to this huge project, which is part of Israel’s plan known as “Greater Jerusalem.”
From the beginning of 2024 until the end of June, settlers established 17 colonial outposts on citizens’ lands in the West Bank.
During the same period, the occupation authorities settled the status of "legalizing" 11 new colonial outposts, through the decisions of the occupation "cabinet", or by modifying the influence of nearby colonies, or by approving structural plans, which threatens to seize more lands and restrict more Palestinian villages and towns in favor of what the settlers are building.
