Netanyahu: There is no agreement for me to accept
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has tried to evade the fact that mediators have repeatedly presented proposals for a prisoner exchange deal and a ceasefire in Gaza.
Netanyahu insisted, as Channel 12 revealed on Friday evening, during a meeting with Israeli female prisoners who were released in the first deal, as well as the families of other prisoners, that there was no deal on the table for him to agree to.
Netanyahu was responding to questions directed to him by female prisoners and the families of others still held captive by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu said: Whoever said that there is a ready deal, and that I did not accept it for one reason or another for personal reasons, is lying to you, this is simple.
Netanyahu reiterated that he is determined to complete the war to achieve its goals, especially eliminating Hamas.
