Palestinian Education informs UNICEF of the repercussions of the aggression on the educational process

Minister of Education and Higher Education Amjad Barham briefed representatives of UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) in Cairo on the repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression and genocide and their impact on the educational process in Palestine.


During the meeting, which was held today, Monday, in the presence of the Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt, Diab Al-Louh, Barham praised the role of UNICEF and friendly international organizations and their keenness to raise their voices and demand the protection of Palestinian children from the deliberate brutality of the Israeli occupation, in addition to their recent interest in creating temporary spaces for education in the heart of displacement tents, and providing the necessary food and medical supplies and aid as much as possible.


In turn, Ambassador Al-Louh called for the necessity of providing the necessary support and assistance mechanisms and urgent and urgent needs to mitigate the impact of the disaster and its repercussions on the reality of education and its future, stressing that Israel is still practicing inhumane and illegal violations against the Palestinian people and targeting Palestinian children, which threatens the human security of Palestinian children and violates their basic rights in violation of the provisions of international law.


The two parties agreed to discuss all means to facilitate the educational process for Palestinian students coming from the Gaza Strip and present in Egypt, and to support the educational and academic sector in the Gaza Strip and other Palestinian cities.


The meeting was attended by UNICEF Education Section Chief Shiraz Shakira, Education Section Officer Ahmed Mahrous, and Specialist Hanem Hassan, in the presence of the embassy staff and a delegation from the Palestinian Ministry of Education.
