Palestinian National Council calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities to protect civilians

The Palestinian National Council called on the international community, the United Nations and its institutions to assume their responsibilities to protect Palestinian civilians, work to stop the brutal crimes committed against them, and hold war criminals accountable for their crimes.

The National Council explained, in a statement issued today, Saturday, that the occupation did not stop at the heinous massacres it committed against families, which claimed the lives of dozens of martyrs, including the Al-Ajla family displaced from Gaza City, consisting of sixteen individuals, most of whom were children, but rather continued the crime of forcibly displacing the displaced from the areas of Al-Maghazi and Salah Al-Din Street, in addition to the widespread displacement east of Deir Al-Balah.

He stressed that the crime of displacing the displaced coincides with a wide-scale retaliatory destruction campaign in the city of Rafah and the destruction of dozens of residential towers in Hamad City since the morning hours.

He said: For the 316th day, the occupation army continues to commit massacres and ethnic cleansing operations against defenceless civilians, including children and women, especially in the central camps, which are a centre for large-scale displacement operations for hundreds of thousands of citizens, and the pace of these violations is increasing in full view of the world.

The National Council warned against this criminal behavior that continues to directly and deliberately target civilians for the tenth month, in the most heinous forms of terrorism, siege, starvation and ethnic cleansing.
