West Bank: One Palestinian killed and one critically injured in settler attack east of Qalqilya
A citizen was killed and another was critically injured by settlers' bullets, Thursday evening, during their attack on the village of Jit, east of Qalqilya.
The Ministry of Health reported that the body of the martyr Rashid Abdul Qader Sedda (23 years old), who was critically injured in the chest by settlers’ bullets, arrived at Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus, from the village of Jit.
Local sources reported that armed settlers attacked the village of Jit and fired live bullets at citizens, which led to two citizens being critically injured.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews dealt with a citizen who was shot in the chest with live ammunition in the village of Jit. He was transferred to the hospital, where his injury was described as critical and doctors announced his death.
Murad Ishtawi, director of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission in the northern West Bank, said that settlers attacked the western area of the village of Jit and set fire to a number of homes and vehicles.
Local sources said that the occupation forces closed the entrances to the village of Jit and prevented civil defense crews from reaching the village to extinguish the fires in the houses and vehicles that the settlers had burned.
