Hamas on Wednesday considered Washington's approval to sell weapons to Israel as part of a $20 billion deal "a confirmation of its partnership in the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza."

The movement said in a statement: "The continued financial and military support of the US administration for the Zionist entity confirms once again that it is a full partner in the war of genocide, ethnic cleansing and brutal massacres against our Palestinian people."

The statement added: "The arms deal comes within the framework of unlimited support and full adoption of the brutal, aggressive behavior of this entity that is a renegade from international systems and laws."

He continued: "We affirm that all steps to support and back the rogue occupation entity, in its crimes and violations, and its disregard for international laws and humanitarian norms, will not guarantee security or victory for the Zionist entity."

The statement pointed out that "our Palestinian people, our Arab and Islamic peoples, the resistance forces, and all the free people of the world will continue to confront him and his crimes until he is expelled from our land."
