Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Abdul Salam and Hammam, the sons of Ismail Haniyeh, the former head of the political bureau of Hamas.

According to the Anadolu website, the Turkish President received Haniyeh's two sons in Istanbul and offered his condolences for the martyrdom of their father.

The meeting between the Turkish President and Haniyeh was attended by the head of the Turkish Intelligence Service, Ibrahim Kalin, and the President's Senior Advisor, Safar Turan.

On July 31, Hamas and Iran announced the assassination of Haniyeh at his residence in Tehran, the day after he participated in the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Last Saturday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard revealed that Haniyeh's assassination was carried out by firing a small-range projectile from outside the guest accommodation area, according to a statement issued by it, according to the Iranian Tasnim News Agency.

While Iran and Hamas accused Tel Aviv of assassinating Haniyeh, the latter remained silent, although Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted at his country's responsibility.
