Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for urgent international intervention to stop the crimes of settler gangs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the UN Security Council to take the necessary measures imposed by international law to ensure the implementation of its resolutions, place settlement associations on its terrorism lists, and prosecute and hold accountable war criminals among the settlers, especially those who hold the nationalities of those countries.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued today, Sunday, that extremist settler gangs continue to commit more crimes, attacks and violations against Palestinian citizens, their land, homes, property and crops, in a continuous racist settlement escalation under the protection of the occupation army and the political level in the Israeli government, especially with the support, backing and incitement of the extremist ministers Smotrich and Ben Gvir, as the crimes of the occupation forces and settlers during the month of July, according to the report of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, amounted to about 1,110.
The Ministry stressed that the continuation of these crimes is clear evidence of the failure of the international community to respect and implement its relevant resolutions, especially Security Council Resolution 2334, and also reflects the weak level of international reactions to settlements and attacks by settlement associations and their elements, including the inadequacy of the sanctions taken by some countries against a number of these elements.
The Ministry indicated that it is continuing its efforts at all international levels to expose these violations and crimes, and to demand real international pressure on the occupying state to rein in the settlers and put an end to their violation of any law, stressing the illegitimacy of settlements and their racist settlement system, and calling for the rapid dismantling of its organizations that commit attacks against our people, drying up their sources of funding, and lifting political and legal protection from them, and it believes that stopping the war of extermination against our people and stopping settlements is the correct approach to restoring the political horizon to resolve the conflict.
