A Palestinian was shot by Israeli forces in the Jordan Valley

The Israeli occupation army said, on Tuesday evening, that it "killed a Palestinian who tried to carry out a shooting operation in the Jordan Valley area," raising the number of dead by the occupation's fire in the occupied West Bank to 13 in less than 24 hours.

The identity of the Palestinian martyr is unknown, and no information has been received from Palestinian authorities about the circumstances of the incident.

The occupation army claimed that its forces initiated operational activity to assassinate the Palestinian, claiming that he planned to carry out a shooting operation near the "Bakaot" settlement near Tubas in the northern Palestinian Jordan Valley.

A statement issued by the occupation army said, "A force from Unit 636 liquidated an armed man who was trying to carry out a shooting attack near the settlement of Bekaot in the Jordan Valley region."

"None of our forces were harmed," it added.

During the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces launched an aggression on the cities of Jenin and Tubas in the occupied West Bank, which led to the martyrdom of 9 Palestinians, including 5 in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin and 4 in the town of Aqaba, Tubas district.
