West Bank: 5 Palestinians were killed in Israeli shelling of Tulkarm
Five citizens were killed this Saturday morning, as a result of an Israeli air strike that targeted them in Tulkarm Governorate, north of the West Bank.
Medical sources said that the killed were charred bodies, after they were hit by a missile fired from a drone towards a vehicle they were in, which was traveling on the road between Attil and Zeita, north of the governorate.
Among the killed was identified as Haitham Balidi (25 years old), a leader of the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
This was preceded by a large Israeli force storming Tulkarm Governorate and carrying out operations to bulldoze streets and infrastructure under the pretext of searching for explosive devices.
Several vehicles stormed the site of the vehicle bombing and conducted searches in its vicinity before withdrawing.
The national action factions in the governorate mourned the martyrs, declared a general strike and mourning for the souls of the martyrs, denounced the cowardly cold-blooded assassination crime, and held the occupation and the international community responsible.
