Blinken: Evidence suggests that the missile that hit the Golan was from Hezbollah
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said a ceasefire in Gaza would be an opportunity to achieve lasting calm along the Blue Line between Israel and Lebanon.
"The conflict in Gaza has cost a lot of blood and we are determined to end it," he said at a press conference.
Blinken pointed out that "evidence indicates that the missile that hit Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights was launched by Hezbollah," stressing his country's support for what he called "Israel's right to defend its citizens in the face of terrorist attacks."
He pointed out that Washington is holding a dialogue with Israel and does not want an escalation of the conflict in the region.
