Clashes in Jenin and Israeli occupation arrests more than 20 Palestinians in the West Bank
Today, Friday, the occupation army carried out a series of raids in several cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, and arrested a number of Palestinians in Nablus, Bethlehem, Tubas and Jenin.
Israeli forces stormed the city of Jenin amid armed clashes with resistance fighters, raided several homes, and arrested 3 Palestinians from the city before withdrawing.
The Jenin Battalion, affiliated with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, confirmed that it is engaged in armed clashes with the occupation forces storming the city of Jenin.
In Nablus, an Israeli force stormed several neighborhoods, most notably Askar camp east of the city, amidst clashes with resistance fighters before withdrawing, and arrested a young man while passing through the Awarta checkpoint.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested 4 Palestinians while they were working on their farms east of Tubas, and a number of Palestinians at the intersection of the town of Tuqu’ southeast of Bethlehem.
The Israeli army also stormed several neighborhoods in Qalqilya, and arrested 11 Palestinians from the city and the town of Azzun, after search and vandalism operations.
Qalqilya is witnessing a series of operations carried out by the occupation, after 3 Israelis were injured in a shooting operation yesterday, Thursday. The army is imposing a siege on the city and a number of neighboring towns, amid the outbreak of clashes with residents.
In the early hours of the morning, the Israeli army also carried out raids on towns in Hebron, Tulkarm, Ramallah and Jericho.
Injuries caused by occupation bullets
In turn, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that two Palestinians were injured by the occupation forces' bullets in the town of Azzun, one of whom was seriously injured.
The Palestinian News Agency said that a 17-year-old boy was injured with fractures in the village of Salem, east of Nablus, during clashes that erupted with the occupation after it stormed the village.
In the same context, the commander of the Tulkarm Battalion, Muhammad Jaber (Abu Shuja), received a warm welcome today, Friday, in the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm after citizens took him out of a hospital in the city, where he was surrounded by the security forces of the Palestinian Authority in an attempt to arrest him.
Videos circulated on social media platforms showed a crowd of Palestinians welcoming the commander of the battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades, who is being pursued by the Israeli occupation forces.
storming an archaeological site
The Israeli Antiquities Authority and a delegation from the Settlements Council, under the protection of elements of the occupation army, stormed the archaeological site of Tel Ma'in in the town of Carmel, east of the city of Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.
Settlers are constantly storming the archaeological site amid fears that it will be seized and annexed to the nearby Avigal settlement.
Since October 7, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, resulting in the martyrdom of 589 Palestinians, the injury of about 5,400, and the arrest of more than 9,800.
