3 massacres in Gaza, Al Qassam blows up two tunnels with Israeli soldiers and destroys two tanks

On the 293rd day of the aggression on Gaza, the Ministry of Health in the Strip reported that the Israeli occupation committed 3 massacres during the past 24 hours, killing 30 people whose bodies arrived at hospitals, in addition to 146 wounded, while the Israeli army announced the killing of a soldier and the wounding of two others in battles in the southern Gaza Strip.

The ministry said that the total number of killed as a result of the Israeli aggression since the beginning of the war reached 39,175 martyrs, while the total number of wounded reached 90,403.

Medical sources also told Al Jazeera that 14 Palestinians were killed in ongoing Israeli shelling of various areas in Khan Yunis since this morning, while the occupation forces intensified their shelling of various residential areas in the Gaza Strip.

An Israeli airstrike targeted a house in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Yunis.

Israeli artillery shelling and airstrikes also targeted the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis.

In the middle of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation artillery shelled the Al-Maghraqa area, north of Al-Nuseirat camp.

The Israeli occupation aircraft and artillery also bombed the northern areas of Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.

In the same context, a citizen was killed as a result of Israeli artillery shelling that targeted the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Yunis. Ambulances transferred the martyr's body to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Israeli warplanes bombed a building and a factory near Wadi Gaza Bridge, north of the central governorate.

The raids on the building and the factory did not cause any human casualties, but caused damage to the buildings, while the images showed thick smoke covering the residential area.

On the other hand, field teams and residents were able to extract a number of injured people from under the rubble of a house in Al-Bureij camp.

Resistance operations

On the ground, the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - announced the killing and wounding of members of two Israeli forces after luring them into two tunnels and detonating them as soon as the members of the two forces descended into them in the Yebna camp in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

In the Sheikh Nasser area of Khan Yunis, the Qassam Brigades announced the destruction of a Merkava tank with a Shawaaz explosive device and the outbreak of fire in it, and said that helicopters had landed to evacuate.

The Brigades also announced targeting a Merkava tank with a Yassin 105 shell in the same area, and said that Israeli helicopters landed to evacuate the wounded.

Al-Qassam also announced that it had sniped an Israeli soldier with a "Ghoul" rifle in the Al-Zana area, east of Khan Yunis.

Al-Qassam said that, in cooperation with the Al-Quds Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement - it bombed an Israeli army position near the Al-Zilal Mosque east of Khan Yunis with heavy mortar shells.

In turn, the Al-Quds Brigades announced that it had shot down an Israeli Quadcopter drone and that its fighters had taken control of it while the drone was carrying out intelligence missions in the skies over the city of Rafah.

Recovering the bodies of prisoners

For its part, the Israeli army announced the death of a soldier and the injury of two others in battles in southern Gaza.

The Israeli army and the General Security Service (Shabak) also announced in a joint statement the recovery of the bodies of 5 prisoners who were previously declared killed in Gaza, including 4 soldiers, during an operation by the 98th Division in the Khan Yunis area.

Haaretz reported that there are 116 prisoners remaining in captivity, including 42 who have been declared dead.

A statement by the Committee of Families of Israeli Prisoners held in Gaza described the release of the bodies of the five kidnapped as an important military operation for their families to perform the burial ceremonies.

The statement added that Israel must work to return the remaining kidnapped soldiers, stressing that this is only possible through concluding a prisoner exchange deal.

The Prisoners' Families Authority demanded an urgent meeting with the Israeli negotiating team after its departure to Doha was postponed, expressing its need for clarifications from the government due to the crisis of confidence with it.

The statement of the Commission also considered the policy of procrastination as a deliberate sabotage of the possibilities of returning the kidnapped.

Since October 7, Israel, with American support, has been waging a war on Gaza, resulting in more than 129,000 deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and deadly famine.

Tel Aviv continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and the International Court of Justice orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
