Fayyad and Dahlan deny rumors about their role in Gaza after “The Next Day”

A source close to former Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad denied the validity of what was circulated regarding scenarios for the “day after” the ongoing war of extermination in Gaza, as part of what was described as the UAE’s efforts to prove to the United States that it is capable of influencing this file through figures including Dr. Salam Fayyad and the dismissed member of the Fatah Central Committee, Mohammed Dahlan.

The source confirmed that what was circulated was not true, explaining that what was circulated was "part of a worn-out talk that was put forward months ago, and that the doctor is not medically able to assume any duties and that he will be an advisor to any party."

In the same context, Mohammed Dahlan denied in a post on his personal page the veracity of what was circulated in this regard, saying, “Once again, different scenarios are being proposed or leaked to the media about the outcomes and arrangements for the day after the devastating war launched and continued by the Israeli occupation, and sometimes our name is dragged in to create some excitement. Therefore, we reiterate, all my colleagues and I, that we are here only to provide everything we can to relieve our people in Gaza based on the generous and continuous support of our brothers in the United Arab Emirates throughout this dirty genocide. We strongly affirm that stopping the war is our top priority, and we will not support any option except within Palestinian national understandings that lead us to rebuild the Palestinian political system through a transparent democratic process, and to provide a documented and scheduled international action plan that leads to the embodiment of our people’s struggles to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. I have repeatedly announced my refusal to accept or play any security, governmental or executive role.”

The Emiratis want to prove to the Americans that they are able to influence and that they can use their tools, such as Mohammed Dahlan and his team, in addition to Sheikh Abdullah’s relationship with Dr. Salam.
But all the talk about the Emirates is part of a tired talk that was put forward months ago.
The doctor is medically unable to take on any duties and will be an advisor to any party.
