Former US President Donald Trump was shot during an election rally in Pennsylvania.

Video footage showed multiple gunshot sounds during Trump's speech, and the pictures also showed blood on his ear, in addition to a sniper on a roof near the podium on which Trump was standing.

CNN reported that Trump was injured in the shooting.

The US Secret Service said that its members killed the shooter, but did not provide details about him. The statement also stated that one of those present was killed, while two were critically injured.

Trump said after the shooting incident at the Pennsylvania Medical Center, "I was shot and went through the top of my right ear, and I'm fine."
