Two Lebanese Hezbollah members and a civilian were killed and 3 civilians were wounded today (Saturday) in an Israeli air and artillery bombardment that targeted several towns in the border region of southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese military sources.

Military sources told Xinhua News Agency that Israeli drones and warplanes carried out 5 air strikes on 4 border towns, while Israeli artillery bombed 9 border towns with more than 30 shells.

It added, "An Israeli march fired two air/ground missiles at a white car that was parked on the international road linking the town of Marjayoun to the city of Nabatieh, specifically near a water source at the Khardali point, which led to the killing of a Hezbollah member and a Lebanese civilian, and the destruction of the car."

It said, "Hezbollah's dead man is named Najib Halawi and the civilian Musa Suleiman. They are from the town of Kafr Kila, east of southern Lebanon."

It continued, "In another separate incident, an Israeli march fired two air/ground missiles at a motorcycle in the northern edge of the town of Al-Mari, which led to the killing of a Hezbollah member named Mahdi Muhammad Khair al-Din from the city of Hermel in eastern Lebanon, and the burning of the bike."

It pointed out that one of the raids that targeted a house in the town of Hula, east of southern Lebanon, injured two citizens, while the artillery shelling that targeted the town of Taybeh resulted in the wounding of a citizen and damage to 5 homes.
