UNRWA: Sanitation facilities and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip are at severe risk

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said, “Children in the Gaza Strip spend between 6 and 8 hours a day fetching water and food, often carrying heavy weights, and walking long distances.”

The UN agency added, in a post on its account on the “X” platform about the situation in the Gaza Strip, that “sewage facilities and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip are at severe risk, forcing thousands of families to rely on seawater for bathing, cleaning, and even drinking.”

UNRWA renewed its demand for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
