Issraeli settler attack on Masafer Yatta caused injuries and the burning and destruction of homes
A number of citizens were injured and bruised, a young man was arrested, two houses were burned, and citizens’ homes and vehicles were destroyed, last night and at dawn today, in a settler attack on the “Khallet al-Dabaa” area in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
Local sources reported that the settlers stole a large number of sheep.
Eyewitnesses stated, "More than 200 armed colonists, with the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, attacked citizens' homes and property in Khallet al-Dabaa in Masafer Yatta."
“The attack, which lasted more than seven hours, began with live bullets being fired at citizens’ homes, after they burned vast areas of the citizens’ fields and fruit trees in that area, preventing civil defense crews from reaching the fire, assaulting them and destroying the fire engine, and the settlers attacked the people with stones.” And batons, which resulted in a number of young men, women and children being injured and bruised, and the occupation forces and settlers also prevented ambulances from reaching the area and providing the necessary aid to the injured.”
The settlers also burned two houses and smashed the windows and doors of most other houses, in addition to destroying a number of citizens’ vehicles, destroying all the solar energy cells that the people rely on to generate electricity, and stealing more than 80 heads of the citizens’ sheep.
