A number of Palestinians were killed and others were injured, on Sunday, in a series of Israeli raids targeting homes and civilians in various areas of the Gaza Strip, while Israeli forces penetrating the city of Rafah, south of the Strip, destroyed hundreds of homes west and center of the city.

Medical sources reported to Anadolu correspondent that 8 Palestinians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

The Palestinian Civil Defense said, in a statement, that its crews recovered 3 dead bodies and several injuries as a result of Israeli aircraft targeting a house belonging to the Ja’rour family in the vicinity of the Dabit area in central Gaza City.

At dawn on Sunday, a Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli raid that targeted a group of civilians north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

Two Palestinians were alsokilled as a result of being targeted by an Israeli drone near the power station north of the Nuseirat camp, according to what medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital in the camp reported.

In the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army destroyed hundreds of Palestinian homes in the Saudi neighborhood (west) and the city center areas after “blowing them up” with explosives, according to what eyewitnesses told Anadolu correspondent.

This comes as Palestinian resistance factions continue to target Israeli forces penetrating the city.

The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, said in a brief statement that it, in conjunction with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military arm of the Islamic Jihad movement, bombed Israeli soldiers and vehicles penetrating the Yabna camp in the center of the city of Rafah with mortar shells.

Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza with absolute American support, leaving more than 123,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, putting Tel Aviv into international isolation and causing it to be prosecuted before the International Court of Justice.

Israel continues its war despite two UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and orders from the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of Rafah, take measures to prevent acts of “genocide,” and improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israel is also challenging the request of International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan to issue arrest warrants against its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and its Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, for their responsibility for “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity” in Gaza.
