UNRWA warns of the risk of a cholera outbreak in the Gaza Strip
The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, expressed his concern about the risk of an outbreak of diseases in the Gaza Strip, such as cholera.
During his visit to the German capital, Berlin, with the aim of mobilizing more support for the organization, Lazzarini spoke, today, Saturday, about the almost “hopeless” situation for citizens in the Gaza Strip, pointing out the need to confront famine and confront the deteriorating situation in the south.
Lazzarini also expressed his concern about children in the Strip, saying: “We have about 600,000 school-age children in Gaza, and the top priority is getting them back to learning.”
